By opting in to Verde, you consent to receive recurring automated SMS messages from Verde at the mobile number you provided. Messages include AI-generated responses to your cannabis product and dispensary inquiries, daily Verde content at 4:20pm (if enabled), dispensary deal alerts, loyalty point updates, and promotional offers from licensed partner retailers.

Message frequency varies based on your activity and requests; typical users receive 2–15 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Mobile opt-in data and phone numbers collected for SMS consent are not sold, rented, or transferred to any third party for any purpose. The only parties who process your mobile number are our technology service providers (Twilio for SMS delivery, Supabase for secure data storage, Anthropic for AI response generation), each of whom is contractually prohibited from using your information for their own marketing.

When you opt in to Verde via our website or at a dispensary, we collect: your mobile phone number, first name (optional), age verification confirmation (21+), consent timestamp, device information (user agent), and IP address. During SMS conversations, we store message content to provide context for ongoing conversations. We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or social security numbers.

We use your information to: respond to your cannabis-related questions via SMS, send daily Verde content at 4:20pm (if enabled), send deal alerts and loyalty updates from your home dispensary, track loyalty points toward your 420-point reward, and improve our AI responses over time. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share mobile numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

As a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information), and non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. We retain your information for as long as your Verde account is active. Conversation history is retained for 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@textverde.com or replying STOP to opt out of SMS messages.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission and secure data storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Verde is only available to individuals 21 years of age or older. We verify age at the point of opt-in via an explicit self-certification checkbox on our web consent form and at dispensary points of sale. If we become aware that a user is under 21, we will immediately delete their information and terminate their access.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted to this page and, where appropriate, communicated via SMS. Continued use of Verde after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
